Exterior Restoration involves the repair and replacement of various elements of the exterior envelope of a building from the roof to the structural foundation. The exterior envelope of a building consists of numerous, integrated components, including: the roofing system, roof terraces, bulkheads, water tanks with supporting dunnage, skylights, parapet walls, roof railing, stone and masonry units.
Traditional stucco is a centuries-old material which consists of aggregate, a binder, and water, and is a hard, dense, thick, non-insulating material. EIFS is a lightweight synthetic wall cladding that includes foam plastic insulation and thin synthetic coatings.
Exterior insulation and finish system is a general class of non-load bearing building cladding systems that provides exterior walls with an insulated, water-resistant, finished surface in an integrated composite material system. Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) restorations offer virtually limitless colors and a wide variety of textures to compliment most commercial and residential building restorations, including office, hospitality, retail, mixed-use, and multi- and single-family homes
Stucco or render is a material made of aggregates, a binder, and water. Stucco is applied wet and hardens to a very dense solid. It is used as decorative coating for walls and ceilings and as a sculptural and artistic material in architecture. Stucco may be used to cover less visually appealing construction materials such as metal, concrete, cinder block, or clay brick and adobe.
Stone veneer is used as a protective and decorative covering for exterior or interior vertical walls and surfaces. The veneer is typically 1 inch thick and must weigh less than 15 pounds per square foot (73 kg/m2) so that no additional structural supports will be required. Manufactured stone veneer siding uses no actual stones, but is poured into convincing molds where the liquid mixture sets into a stone-like shape. Once formed, each of the “stones” can be set into mortar in much the same way natural stone is.
Caulking is both the processes and material (also called sealant) to seal joints or seams in various structures and some types of piping. Also, sealing cracks and crevices around homes puts less strain on home appliances and can save time, money and hassle by preventing major repairs. Additionally, increasing the lifetime of homes and appliances also puts less waste and pollution into landfills.
